This auction is for a CANADIAN WALL PLAQUE (Circa 1927) ... This brass (or possibly copper) embossed 12 1/4" x 18 1/4" plaque reads: "CONDEDERATION ... 1867 ... 1927 ... CANADA ... OUR COUNTRY" with center "COAT OF ARMS" featuring British Rampant Lion and Flag on left, (French?) unicorn on right with Fleur d' Lis Flag and banner ribbon reading: "A MARI VSQVE AD MARE" ... This on a dimpled field of embossed maple leaves ... Chain hanger ... Not mint, but beautiful satiny finish. Item has been in storage for a family antique business for many years, guaranteed old and original. If you have any additional questions regarding this vintage piece, please let me know.
