CANADIAN MAPLE LEAF WHITE OPAL GLASS COVERED SUGAR RARE Rare opaque white pressed glass covered sugar. Canadian Maple Leaf pattern. Measures approx. 6.75" tall with lid. 4" wide. Lid edge rim has a small 1/2" sanded spot over a rim flak- see photo. The sugar base is without chips or dings but Does have a 1" long stress hairline running down from the rim edge as per photo. The moulded Maple Leaf pattern impression is nice & strong. Glass is clean white without stains. Sugar will display well without showing any faults. Rare to locate this pattern in opaque white glass. Circa 1902. Pattern manufactured by Burlington Glass Works, Hamilton, Ontario - Diamond Glass Co.Montreal, Quebec and Jefferson Glass Co. Ltd. Toronto, Ontario. PayPal payments preferred.
