The Imperial No. 400 Candlewick pattern was introduced in 1936 and, according to research, along with the Cape Cod pattern, helped the company survive the 1930's. This pair of salts, I believe, have the original screw on lids with mother of pearl inserts. Although all I see in the research books on Candlewick are the silver plate pointed ones. This set of shakers are each 2-3/4 inches tall and 2 inches wide at the bulbous body. The candlewick foot is 1-7/8 inches in diameter. The salt shaker is a little cloudy while the pepper is clear. The shaker lids have lost their silver plate, but have no splits, tears or dings. Both are in excellent condition with no chips, flakes or cracks. Shipping includes insurance. (B-8-XX5)
