When I found this Canonet , I had a hard time believing what I was seeing , It was like looking at a Brand new in the box Camera, but this was a 40 plus year old camera. Almost all of the cameras I sell have been extensively cleaned , adjusted , repaired , overhauled to be sure they are up to par and will perform as new , this one I can honestly say I could find NOTHING to fix ... I put new light seals in because that will insure it operates correctly for another 40 years! This is a Canon Canonet 28 , the little brother to one of the most successful and sought after cameras of all time-- the Canon Canonet 17 GIII . The GIII still demands a premium price today, often fetching in excess of 200 dollars. The Canonet 28 is only a "little Brother" in that the lens is a bit "slower" at 2.8 max F stop instead of F 1.7 and that it has standard film loading instead of " quick load" , they both have the excellent 40 mm Canon lens and both manual and automatic exposure systems.
