These are two stunning Italianate Capodimonte table lamps originally purchased in Italy and imported to the US. The original cost was 1400$ for the pair. They are marked on the base with the Capodimonte seal and numbered 559. These lamps are in the range of 25 years old and look as if they are new WITH THE EXCEPTION of a small chip on the base and 1 chipped rose petal in the front. I have included the picture of this flaw both on the one lamp. Other than that they appear to be in meticulous shape.The original shade are somewhat yellowed but have no holes or rotting. The lamps are in a lovely soft lime with a shell pink accents. The roses are a deeper pink and a golden yellow. The loincloths on the cherubs are a delicate powder blue. I looked on line and could not find a similar pair so I believe that these would be exceedingly rare. They are covered with 24K gold accents and have recently been appraised for more than 600$. THese can be used for a variety of decors Betsy Johnson Shabby Chic or formal French or Italian. I am listing these for a friend who is pairing down her household items as she moves into assisted living. These stunning lamps can be purchased alone or as a pair.
