The Carl Barks Covers of Walt Disney's Uncle Scrooge portfolio . 22 full-color plates. Reproduces the classic covers of the first twenty issues of Uncle Scrooge comics as they appear in Set 111 of the Carl Barks Library. These covers originally appeared between 1952 and 1958 in the smaller, regular comic book format, but are done in a beautifully rendered 12 1/4" x 8 5/8" size. These all show the untrimmed pages of art, just as Barks drew them! Every effort has been made in these recreations to make them look as they might have if Carl Barks had originally colored them himself. All covers in this set are by Barks. Also included is the new slipcase cover art, drawn and colored by Barks especially for the Library. The reverse main pages include Uncle Scrooge one page gag fillers, and three editorial commentaries on his stories by the Duck Man himself. Plates are in perfect, new condition. Envelope has tears and creases at top and top flap.
