For auction is a classic Carl Zeiss Sonnar 85mm f2 lens. It is compatible with Contax IIa and IIIa as well as some early Nikon rangefinder cameras and also Kiev 4 Contax copies. The silver finish of the lens shows numerous light scratches and bright marks as though the lens has been carried around for a long time in a camera kit bag. There is a ding at the camera end of the lens (see photo) which has no effect on its performance nor its ability to be fitted to or removed from the camera. Glass is clean and apart from one or two cleaning marks is clear and free of any scratches, fungus and haze, Aperture mechanism is smooth and blades are clean. Manual focussing is smooth but a bit stiff, probably due to lack of use. The lens will be sold with its original Zeiss Ikon metal rear end cap and a UV filter. Good luck with your bidding!
