A beautiful Carlton Ware 'Cubist Butterfly' Vase manufactured in the 1930s. These Art Deco stylized decorations on these beautiful 1930s Vases are becoming increasingly popular with collectors who are looking for old Carlton Ware which is not quite the usual enamelled decorations as found on such products as Mikado or New Flies, for example. This one has these stylized flowers, berries and butterflies all set on a matt red/orange ground. The vase is in excellent condition. It measures just over 4.75 inches (approx 12 cms) in height with a base diameter of just over 2.5 inches (6.5 cms). The shape number is 463 and pattern number is 3190. There is no trace of crazing. The base is backstamped appropriately. Any light points on the photos are as a result of background lighting. I can provide further photos of the base or elsewhere if required.
