Carlton Ware Rouge Royale ALADDIN'S LAMP lighter in it's original box. This novelty lighter is in the shape of Aladdin's lamp and is part of the Rouge Royale range with best gold finish. The lighter part is removable and has a receptacle for the lighter fluid. It was first made in 1959 and several different patterns were used. This one is decorated in the Aladdin pattern. In excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. It would appear that this lamp has spent all of it's life in it's original box. I haven't tested the lighter part and tfore I am selling this item for decorative purposes only. The box is in a very good stable condition with a tiny bit of wear on the top edge. The shape number 2525 which is impressed on the underside base dates this piece between 1959 & 1964. The Carlton Ware backstamp is covered with the original Carlton Ware label and t is a hand written number on it which appears to read 4635. Approximate measurements of lamp: 210mm (8.25 inches) by 88mm (3.5 inches) by 82mm (3.25 inches) / Approximate measurements of box: 233mm (9.2 inches) by 112mm (4.4 inches) by 98mm (3.8 inches) Unusual to find one in it's original box and in such perfect condition, this novelty lamp would make a very nice addition to someone's collection.
