For auction here is a very nice mid century modern sterling silver abstract 'leaf' design pin brooch by California modernist Caroline Gleick Rosene. An exceptional design, a little reminiscent of the leaf cut outs of Henri Matisse. Handmade in polished and niello sterling silver with applied wire that delicately accents the darker niello section. On the back side it is fully marked "ROSENE STERLING HAND MADE". The clasp closes securely and the brooch is in excellent condition with just the expected wear for an item over 60 years old. this brooch pin measures 1-1/2" long by 3/4" wide.
