This is the "Classics of Medicine Library" edition of J. C. Carpue's "An Account of Two Successful Operations for Restoring a Lost Nose", bound in full leather, with raised spine bands, gilt cover and spine decorations, gilt page block, French marbleized paper endpapers and silk ribbon bookmark. This is an oversize 1981 Gryphon Editions facsimile printing of the original edition of 1816, with a foreword and biography of Carpue by Frank McDowell, M.D.. Condition of the book is NF, with virtually no visible wear. The original subscription letter explaining this book is laid in. Please see my other leather bindings listings.
