Up for sale is an Carter Custom made Hybrid 8 electric guitar.I do not really want to sell but i need to sell to raise some cash for my car insurance which has gone through the roof.As you can see from the pictures it is an stunning looking instrument which could standalone as an work of art .Carter instruments are hand made in the States his custom instrument start at $4500, but what makes this one special is its provenance.I contacted Jeremey Carter who told me it was 8th instruments he made ,and was given to Robert Smith ( of the Cure ) as part of an endorsement deal then was passed onto Porl Thompson .The guitar has 6 standard electrics strings and two bass strings .The unqiue feature of the instrument is certainly the 8 "damper strikers," which as the name implies are used for both striking and dampening the stings.
