This listing is for a beautiful old leather 16 gage shotshell belt. The belt has 20 loops and will fit a 32 to 38 inch waist (or so). It is a classic western style, and while it was never a US military issue item, they were very common among western frontier soldiers just before the turn of the 20th century. The belts were often crafted by saddlers and like this example, unmarked. The old western shotguns were used foraging. The stitching on the belt has been repaired w needed and all loops are tight. The leather has a nice patina, and is strong with no dry rotting or weak areas. I picked up the belt in New Mexico years ago and it has been in my Winchester 97 collection since.
