I carved the pin from lightly marbled vintage orange bakelite. The figure of the cat is similar to a vintage bakelite pin design that featured a cat as seen from behind and with a big bow around its neck. I've carved signed reproductions of that design but this one is a bit different in that I turned the cat's face around to be seen and gave it great big clear green prystal bakelite eyes which are backed with
