Bidding on a carved ivory basket ond or mask seller. T have been a couple of these up on ebay in the last few weeks, check out their listing and you will see that I am starting this at 1/4 of what they are trying to get. This is a fabulous piece of carved ivory. An okimono I think. I do not know if it is japanese or chinese. 5 1/4 inches tall x 2 1/2 inches wide. Light honey patina. Insurance is manditory on htis item. I will send an invoice after the sale. Do not go with ebays invoice, it will not offer insurance. Wait for mine. If you do not take the insurance you will be asking for trouble. I will double box this item, but it may still get lost. Great carving of a basket seller or peddler. HE has a few masks hanging off his body as well. No age cracks or checks See the pics ask any questions I will send more pice if you will bid higher. Signed on the botton in red. Signature area is highlighted in black ink. The figure is decorated with black ink to highlight the detail. Has baskets masks jugs plates broom all hanging off his body. The bottle off his right side is fixed to him, but a tad loose. Look at his shoes. Bid high, I need the money I have 2 kids in college,i 1 out of state..they are breaking me. The market is in the tank, and I am going broke..That is why I am selling this fabulous item. Check out my other ivory for sale
