Utah Pipestone / Catlinite carving stone Approx. measurements (at its widest & thickest points) are: 7 3/8" Long X 3 5/8" Wide X 1" to 1 1/4" Thick Approx. wt. : 2 bs. 13 oz. I have posted 2 pictures, so you can see what each side looks like. Pipestone is a 2 to 2 1/2 on the hardness scale. This stone is soft and easy to carve. This stone is wet when I take the picture.Because graphics are often different for each computer, stone pictures are approx. color and may vary a little. Utah Pipestone is a little harder and more durable then Minnesota Pipestone. We do not guarantee it to be fracture free but we do are best to get you quality stone.
