This 3254 CV Case XX 2-blade Pattern 54 Trapper has smooth yellow handles. The tang on the clip blade is stamped ".x.x. CASE XX (with a long-tail C) x.x.x", and the back of that tang is stamped "USA". The tang of the spey blade is stamped "3254 CV". The oval shield has "CASE" (with an open C and flat S), with an oval around the word CASE. This knife is new and never has been used, carried, or sharpened (I could not find anything wrong with it, except light scrape marks on the back of the spey blade from being opened and closed), but I do not have the box. My reference book says that the Pattern 54 Trapper "has gained prominence as arguably the "premier" Case pocket knife pattern in terms of Collector interest." "CV" (which was added to pocket knives in 1997) indicates that the blade is made of Chrome Vanadium. Chromium is an element of the steel--not chrome plated. "The high polish on the finished blade results from Case's final grinding and polishing steps." YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OLD TO PURCHASE. We have been collecting knives and razors for many years and have decided to sell a lot of them, now that we are retired. We have a lot of nice things, so please watch my listings. I will list several each week, except when we are unavailable. I will try my best to describe each item accurately. (Look at my feedback.) Please e-mail read more
