In the early 1830s the much discussed-Inch Bowie-Inch knife was designed by Col. Jim Bowie of Texas. Historians differ widely in their accounts as to what constitutes a true Bowie but it is agreed it was produced for strenuous pioneering work, an all purpose knife, and used to open the vast areas of the West. The 00311 Case Bowie knife is a reproduction of the one we made as a survival and fighting knife during World War II and features a smooth black synthetic handle, solid brass guard, a massive 9-1/2-Inch blade made of Tru-SharpTM surgical steel embellished with the Case-Inch Long Tail C-Inch Tested XX logo and Job Case's image, and genuine leather sheath. In some families, life's most momentous occasions are marked with an equally momentous keepsake. The extraordinary Case Bowie offers a powerful way to commemorate an extraordinary moment or complete a tough task requiring a heavy duty blade.
