2 CASE LOT -TESTED XX 1889-1989 CENTENNIAL R64052 & R63087 MATCHING #'S 417 RED BONE KNIVES This auction is for 2 Case Tested XX Centennial knives from 1989. Included are a R64052 Red Bone 4-Blade and a R63087 Red Bone 3-Blade. In 1989, Case celebrated their Centennial 100th Anniversary with a special series of limited issue knives in various patterns. - - From that series, here is the Case R64052 Medium Congress pattern that has not been used, carried, or sharpened. It measures 3 1/2" in the closed position and has Case's standard Jigged Redbone scales. The master blade is etched with Case XX Tested Centennial 1889-1989 (see photos) and stamped with Case XX 1889-1989. The rear tang of the secondary spear blade is pattern stamped with R64052 SS. The stainless steel blades are tight, have a sharp factory edge, and excellent snap when closing. No spotting or pitting. Each of the blades has a minor blade rub. The beautiful well matched Red Bone scales have no cracks or chips. It has Nickel Silver bolsters and shield with brass liners. The shield was a special Case logo inside a circle Centennial shield which was only used for this Case Centennial collection of knives in 1989.
