A very nice CASE Knife box from the CASE TESTED era ( 1920 - 40 ) and the early CASE XX era ( 1940-55 ). It is the dark blue type finish. The box is 3 1/4" X 2 3/8" X 3/4" and has the sharpening instructions on the bottom. A date ( APR 13,1950 ) stamped on the bottom.The box apparently held 1/2 DOZ of the 6233 3 blade bone handled folding pen knives. Very sound with very slight wear on the corners. Great display item to go with your vintage CASE TESTED XX/Green bone CASE XX knives. I have several more vintage boxes listed , so please look at my other auctions.
