This auction is for a W.R. Case 1993 Cheetah SC6111 1/2 (pattern #11 1/2) - item no 01483 . This is a 4 3/8" knife that is most often known as a cheetah. Although the '11 1/2 pattern has been around since the Case Brothers Era (1896 to 1915), the earliest documentation of the name 'Cheetah' being used was in the early 1970's. This Cheetah knife does not have the popular locking mechanism or swing-guard. This knife has a light colored bone handle with a little yellow in it and it is made from second cut stag. This knife is in excellent condition and comes with the Case box. T are no chips or cracks on the handle - this handle is uniquely craved ... looks similar to corncob rows ... refer to photos . Front tang has CASEXX / BRADFORD, PA / MCMXCIII Back tang has SC61111/2L / SS The label on the box has the following info: Item No. 01483 1 BLADE PKT.
