On offer is an original, full-size, Japanese Manchuria Incident Medal It’s in good (GVF) condition, and in its original, fitted case of issue. The medal was instituted on the 23rd July 1934 for award to the Japanese forces of the Kwantung (or Guandong) Army involved in the invasion and occupation of Manchuria (1931-1934). As war was never officially declared, the Japanese referred to the campaign as an ‘incident’. The medal is becoming hard to find in this condition.
