For Sale is this fully functional Casio MT400v synth. It has an analogue filter which can be routed to the drum machine, regular tone or chord backing. This synth is regarded as the flagship of the 80's casios and is a very flexible instrument (as used by L.C.D. sound system apparently). They are also rare and this one is fully working and a good clean example. Unfortunately it is missing one slider cap and doesn't have the speakers that it would have had when new. It's in good condition for 28 years old though and only has superficial scratches here and there (some on the shoulders which are pictured). The battery compartment is nice and clean and the sliders work well (perhaps slight noise on some when moving but nothing when stationary). I find the headphone preamp a bit noisy but the RCA stereo outs are really quiet for recording or connecting to a desk (I have a pristine one which is as new and the headphone pre is noisy on that one too..). The synth comes with a printed manual and also a brand new correct spec power supply that has been fully tested with the unit. These are great fun and have a unique retro sound that I find is very hard to find anywhere else.
