Hello good folks ! Up for your bidding interest is a down right sunning piece, a beautiful captivating fence or hitching post top. Maybe a flag pole top? I mean this is just great, I have never come across another like it and probably wont see one again. The base is cast iron and the eagle top ....I just can not tell for sure if it is brass, bronze or another metal ? It has the look of brass or bronze and when you tap on it, it has a solid and prominent ring to it. It is non magnetic. I did not scrape it and nor would I to see what is under the pure and vintage natural patina. In my heart I feel it is brass or bronze, but you folks be the judge. I have never had the true honer to have come across another like it to know what the metal was. Another thing is that while I took the pictures and down loaded them I saw in the pictures a color difference in the metal right above the feet, I do not know if it was a repair or if is a joint ? T are no rough edges, cracks, drips and seems molded t? When you look at it, it all blends very well. It may be a joint as t is a slight move to it. I just am not sure, but it is very very sturdy and strong. As seen, it is about 11" wide from wing tip to wing tip, and almost 12" tall (the eagle is about 6" tall).
