TODAY WE ARE OFFERING THIS QUITE RARE, UNUSUAL FLAVIA DOUBLE-SIDED CAT SCULPTURE I got this cat at a yard sale when we were in Florida. I love cats and thought it was quite unusual and even though I don't collect cats, I bought it. I saw one very similar--only standing rather than sitting--on E bay and now realize that it is quite a collector's item. It is a sculptural double-sided cat. The eyes, markings, etc. are on both sides. On the bottom it is marked FLAVIA. It is rare in the fact that it has no Rimini Blu glazed finish. The cat I saw on Ebay was believed to be produced by Raymor of Italy and designed by Aldo Londi--ALDO LUNDI-BITOSSI Italy b 1903. This cat could be its "littermate"; they are so alike. is a chance to get a part of design history! Kitty is about 5 3/4 inches tall and is in great vintage condition. I would love to know its life story--w its been over the years and how it landed in Florida--it's now at our home in Cambridge MD. "Pussycat, Pussycat, w have you been?--Have you been to London to see the queen?" I hope your home will be its permanent home (--as they say at the shelters.) THANKS FOR LOOKING!
