1928 Wilmington Transportation Company steamer service to Catalina Island brochure. Measures 4" x 9 1/4" when folded, 32" when fully open. Inset with ship CATALINA along with caricatures of people enjoying varied sports on front and back covers. Opens to nice picture of steamer and "Submarine Gardens of Avalon" as "seen through Glass Bottom Boats"; a description of Steamship Service, Ticket Rates and a map of Catalina and mainland points are also included. Open further: There is a map of sites on Catalina Island; also, a description of points of interest, including the "training grounds of the Chicago Cubs ball team". Fully open:16 photos of varied sites; photos of the steamships AVALON and CATALINA. A nice piece in very good condition.
