A truely amazing collection of Catalina Island Pottery bought new on the Island by a famous Islander back in the day Mrs Harold ''Whitie'' Packman or Gladys to her friends. Whitie was the famous glass bottom boat diver who met an untimely death. Gladys stayed on the island broken hearted. Though they had one daughter Mimi who later met her husband who played in the Paul Whitman band in the Casino. Mimi went on to have a rather interesting career as an ice skater in Sonja Henning's Ice Follies. It was Mimi who rescued and took care of the families Catalina Island collection until her passing a year ago. Her widow has given it to me to sell on t behalf. Many items have been sold privately to various collections. Now for the "left overs so to speak''.
