Catalina Island Hand Decorated Plate w Cruise Ship RARE I have never seen such an unusual, art deco design on a Catalina Island plate. It features a 1920s style cruise ship underway, below a full moon. This is not cold painted, but done with colored glazes resulting in a slightly raised design in shades of yellow, black, white and orange windows over an orange colored plate. I believe this was made from their red clay. It is in superb, mint condition, but does have a few minor manufacturing flaws. There is a small group of zits under the design, visible in 1st pic. Also present is an area where a larger zit was ground down at the factory, as shown next to the silver dollar in the 3rd pic. There are no chips, scratches, hairlines, crazing or repairs. Measuring about 10.5" in diameter, it will weigh 4 pounds when securely double boxed for shipping. This may also be picked up in San Francisco. Note that I offer two different priced mailing options.
