For sale is a beautiful Turquoise Blue 10" Rolled Edge Dinner Plate made on Catalina Island in the early to mid 1930's. This piece is made from white clay which was a mix of clay from the mainland and red clay mined on the lsland. The glossy glaze is excellent and the color very robust. The piece has a clear Block style Catalina Island on the bottom. Piece is 10" wide and 1" tall. The item is listed in both Coates (p. 107, 2013) and Austin (p. 43, 2014) reference books on pottery designed and produced on Santa Catalina Island. This great piece would make a great addition to any collection or as a piece of the history of Catalina Island. Buyer pays shipping and insurance. Any questions please ask before bidding.
