The Catcher in the Rye by J D Salinger - Bantam Paperback Literature Classic. This modern literature classic paperback was published by Bantam Books, April 1964 (52 printings through February 1981). This version of "The Catcher in the Rye" by J.D. Salinger, measures 4" X 7," has a deep Indian red colored soft cover, 214 pages. ISBN: 05-6. Title of the book appears on the front as well as on the back. Spine has creasing, but there are no dog-ears, marks, tears or missing pages. Cover and pages are tight but shows yellowing around the edges due to its age. The cover has a some creasing on front and back and a small portion of the front bottom right corner is missing (see photo). This Bantam edition paperback is a rare find, now a collector's item. This book is even hard to find in used/out-of-print book stores or rare book shops. Great for J. D. Salinger fans, a favorite author of many. Stored in a cool, dry place.
