This is a fine CDV of Doctor John Thomson Darby 1836-1879 taken by Rockwood of NYC. In excellent condition. His wife was Mary Cantey (Preston) Darby 1840-1891. Her father was Civil War Confederate Brigadier General John Smith Preston, 1809-1881. Her Grandfather was a US Congressman and Lt Colonel in the Regiment of Light Dragoons in South Carolina.
