G, 13 Regt. Vt. Vols." Wet-plate albumen carte de visite photograph by Davis Montpelier, Vt. 4 by 2 3/8 inchesInscription on reverse in brown ink. Nice photographer’s backmark - "UNION" between two globes, wet-plate camera and garden chair amongst trailing vine tendrils. Circa 1864.Full length studio portrait - Lt. Randall stands next to a large pillar and before a plain backdrop. He tucks one hand into his long frock coat - iron base of the studio headrest can be seen behind his feet.Light age wear with a few scattered age spots and some aging at bottom of mount. Top right corner worn.
