An original albumen CDV photograph of...... EMPRESS ELISABETH OF AUSTRIA (1837-1898) aka "SISI" Born in 1837, Elisabeth was the renowned and notorious "Sisi", wife of Emperor Franz Josef of Austria. A great beauty of the age, she was tragically assassinated by an anarchist in Geneva in 1898. Printed by Rabending & Monckhaven of Vienna. Condition is Good+ with just a couple of background "spots". Please note that some of the cartes from this album may have been trimmed by the original 19th century owner to fit their album - a practice encouraged by the album manufacturers to create an easier fit. ALL IMAGES ARE PERFECTLY INTACT AND ARE WELL ABOVE AVERAGE IN QUALITY. Payment within 4 days please!
