Cecil Aldin 1870-1935 This auction is for an original antique chromolithograph print by the celebrated sporting artist Cecil Aldin. This print is from a particularly scarce set of horse themed prints published around 1900. Cecil Aldin had a rare gift for capturing the character of his human and animal subjects, indeed his obituary in the Times asserted that "there never yet has been a painter of dogs fit to hold a candle to him" . This print is in fine condition considering it is 100 years old with no foxing or damage, it has been professionally mounted/matted in a conservation grade Daler Rowney mount/mat in cream which sets the image off beautifully, the mount/mat measures 25.5 x 20.5 cms (10 x 8 inches) externally. I am selling with a LOW start price and NO RESERVE! I will combine postage for multiple purchases.
