This beautiful 7-Piece Celluloid / Bakelite Art Deco Vanity Set is most unusual in design and condition.The outside layer is pink and swirly, inlaid with green and black designs. That layer is applied on a thicker caramel layer. -- The Bakelite Hand Mirror is heavy and beveled, with a handle 6 3/4" long -- total length is 14". The caramel layer on the hand mirror is approximately 6/16" depth. It has one extremely small spot of the inlay missing -- hardly noticeable. (See photo). -- The Button Hook , the Nail Cleaning Implement , the Natural Bristle Hair Brush , and the Comb are in perfect condition, as if seldom used. -- The Nail Buffer shows only minimal use, and it still retains its original celluloid cover over the kid leather buff. -- The Powder Box is missing a tiny section of the black and green inlay (see photo) on the lid and has approximately a 2" area of roughness to the finish inside the box (as if polish remover or perfume was spilled on it at some time).
