Circa 1870 cartes de visite albumen photograph on a CDV mount depicting a cemetery with tomb in Cairo, Egypt. The photograph was done by Ottoman pioneer photographer Pascal Sebah (1823-1886) of Constantinople. Printed in ink on the front side of the CDV mount within the linear border is 'P. SEBAH, PHOT'. On the backside of the CDV mount is the photographer's credit printed in ink. Approximate over-all dimensions of the mount are 4 1/8" x 2.5" with the albumen photographic image measuring approximately 3 5/8" x 2 1/8".The CDV is in excellent condition. The CDV was stored in an album from circa 1870 when the CDV was produced which kept it protected from exposure to light and wear. ACCURACY OF DESCRIPTION, CONDITION AND IMAGES: The item is described as accurately as possible along with any condition issues.
