CERAMIC ART CO LTD Crown Pottery Stoke On Trent "RUSKIN " Oval Serving Plate 12 1/8" x 8 5/8" This Lovely Oval Serving Plate comes from the Ceramic Art Co Ltd's Crown Pottery in Stoke On Trent and Features a Pattern called "Ruskin". The Design has a Plain White Background with Scalloped Outer Edge. The Pattern is in Blue-Green or Jade and has Large Stylised Floral Sudies in Jade on a Jade Background. There are Petite Floral Garlands around the Verge. The Central Area is White with No Decoration. The Plate measures 12 1/8" x 8 5/8" and the Outer Rim is 1 1/4" above the Table . The Extensive Backstamp has "RUSKIN" over "CERAMIC ART CO LTD" in a Semi Circle over "CROWN POTTERY" in another Arc over A Crown.On either Side of the Crown is a Registered Design Number of "39268" (which reflects a Design Registered in 1864 - well before the Pottery was formed) over "STOKE" and "On TRENT".Beneath the mark is "MANUFACTURERS OF FAIENCE DIRECT FROM FACTORY TO PURCHASER PRICE LISTS FREE".This Mark was used throughout the Pottery's History from 1905 to 1919 The Plate is in Very Good Condition. There are No Chips, Cracks or Crazing All of my pottery is well packed before posting. I have many other items for sale and will be happy to combine Postage and Packing on Multiple Purchases.
