Figurine Pair, Ceramic Arts Studio, Comedy and Tragedy. Produced in the early 1950s, these figurines measure 10 3/8" (Comedy) and 10" (Tragedy). They were described in Ceramic Arts 1952 catalogue as "curvaceous dancers with lovely lines". Comedy is a beautiful burgundy color with a green mask and Tragedy is gray with a blue mask. There is some paint discoloration on the back of the gray figure (see 4th picture) and a pinhead sized paint prick under her collar. Otherwise they are in good vintage condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. They both have the Ceramic Arts Studio mark and the names Comedy and Tragedy.
