Vintage – 1930s? ceramic Toby Jug shaped as Man with Beard (Robin Hood??) Fancies Fayre, England. This is a good example of a small 2” high x 3” at widest point (handle to spout) ceramic Toby Jug that is shaped and nicely detailed as a man with a beard. He may be trying to be Robin Hood, but if not then he could be.... just a man with a beard. The jug is very colourful and is in lovely clean condition with no cracks, chips or even crazing to the glaze. The base has the mark Fancies Fayre, England. It is impossible to be an expert in all realms of collecting, and I am honestly representing this item to the best of my knowledge and ability. If the item has a fault then I have mentioned it. I ask that you read the description and examine the photos carefully. I also encourage you to ask any questions you may have during the auction to help clarify identification or condition, as I may inadvertently omit information that you as a collector feel is important. If after you receive the item there is any problem at all please let me know BEFORE leaving feedback or leaving a low Item As Described rating. If you do not let me know of a problem I have no way of knowing what may have been wrong and I really do want to sort it out. Please note that I am not able to provide scans of paper items and I have no facility to record / copy any records. Browsing ! Rather than ! e.g. 7" single records, LP's, Books, Toys etc. By doing this you will not have to wade through hundreds of items that you are perhaps not interested in. CONDITION. The majority of items that I list are between forty and sixty years old. Some are older and some may be a few years younger. I have described the condition of the item in my text but where applicable I have also ticked the 'used' box as even where an item is 'perfect', it is very old and logic says it must have been handled and probably used at some time over the decades! This item is listed with basic / second class POSTAGE INCLUDED in the UK. Despite the Free P&P notice shown on this listing it is not actually free to post of course! I have to pay to post it and each week / month / year I pay many thousands of pounds to my local post office. But for UK bidders the price you see at the end of the auction is the total price you pay. If by some remote chance anyone out there - including the Bods at eBay who came up with the Free P&P notice - can tell me where you really can post items for free I would really LOVE to know . DELIVERY TIMES. Although I have ticked the Royal Mail 2nd Class Standard option, please note that this service is reliable and often is unexpectedly fast. For the last couple of years I have actually posted lighter items first class, even though 2nd class has been paid for. Please note that from now on - due to the post office price increases, I will be sending all items 2nd class unless first class has been paid for. I have also listed other faster options for UK postage (First Class Recorded Delivery + Special Delivery is available). Worldwide Postage / Shipping. Upate - April 2013 - the new Royal Mail Air Mail rates have come into effect.
