Ceylon Sri Lanka 1 Rupee & 50c Notes 1948 N9 This and all of the other notes I am currently auctioning were discovered in an old Player's Navy Cut Cigarette Ration tin amongst the effects of my father-in-law who died earlier this year. He was a rear gunner in the Royal Air Force during WWII and was stationed in many places in the far east and elsewhere. He did not leave the RAF until about 1964. I know little about bank note collecting. I am thus presenting these bank notes for auction and you will have to judge the item on the basis of the pictures I present. I feel the photos are a good representation of the appearance and condition of the notes but will add further information by e-mail on request (if I am capable of supplying it) Notes regarding this particular item: 1) One of the L5 notes is in average used condition. 2) the other L5 and L10 are heavily used and feel "fluffy" If you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason I will refund in full on return.
