Champagne Velvet CV Beer Diecut Chalkware Sign Offered from my personal advertising collection is this old bar sign made from chalk and painted. I believe this sign is prior to the 1950s, because the CV logo is found on the cone top style beer cans, or perhaps a Champagne Velvet collector can accurately date this and send me an email to add to the description. I've had this piece in my collection for over 20 years. I hope you can read the wording on the bottom of the piece from my photo, "The Beer with the Million Dollar Flavor" and then in very small lettering, "Terre Haute Brewsing Company, Inc. Terre Haute, Indiana." The sign is small, only 3" tall x 8 1/2" long and 1" deep. It is in very nice condition for the materials, as chalkware is soft and easily damaged. T are some very minor edge chips, and only one noticeable chip above the curl of the V, but it works well with the design and is not distracting. T is very little paint loss. On the back of the piece is stamped in ink, "Koloplak Kolocraft, Co. Los Angeles 14, California Peel Covering from center and apply on clean dry surface." For Champagne Velvet collectors you know how rare it is to find this piece in this kind of condition, and if you don't have it in your collection....now's the time.
