Early Charles Eames fiberglass armchair with original Eiffel base in very good condition. This chair was designed by Charles Eames and manufactured by the Herman Miller Furniture Company and Zenith Plastic Co. in Venice California.This is an early Eames chair with a shallow rim and higher fiberglass content (lighter weight) than later chairs. The shell is dijon yellow. The chair is completely original. The Eiffel base has the rubber boot and steel glides (which pre-date the later nylon glides.) This chair has wide shockmounts which are very clean and in excellent condition. T is no bleeding through the seat. On the bottom of the chair you can see a circle left from the missing "designed by Charles Eames" signiture tag (round metal tag) . Only the Herman Miller logo is embossed in the plastic (pre-dating the chairs embossed with "HERMAN MILLER") This chair is awesome. Shipping costs vary based on your location.
