"Charles Eames is an outstanding American artist and architect who became known throughout the world as a designer of furniture, household implements, industrial shapes, houses and toys which are at the same time useful, beautiful and original. For his card construction game he was collecting attractive colourful subjects from all over the world, some of which are well-known to us, we are 'longing back' for them; but also charming foreign things: Chinese patch rug, East Indian marionette, Portuguese jewelry bag, Indian doll, clock hands, colourful pills."This description is from the box insert of this wonderful item. This is perfect for the Charles Eames enthusiast as well as those looking for a little nostalgia. This box of cards was produced in Germany by Otto Maier Verlag in Ravensburg (Ravensburger Spiele) and though the cards are in very good shape the box does show wear. Age spots on the box are evident in the photo but the box insert is intact. The colorful cards depict many enchanting subjects and the colors are still very bright. The photo of the cards is from my scanner as a digital camera could not capture the beautiful colors.Check out my other items !Be sure to add me to your favorites list !
