Very nice and classic lounge chair designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller circa late 1970s, signed. This is model 670 and the matching ottoman is missing. This chair was used in a local business for many years and did not see that much use or abuse. But, at some point the chair suffered a shock-mount failure. This caused the chair and ottoman to separate and eventually we ended up with the chair only. We have since had the flaws professionally repaired, not just cosmetically, but structurally to Herman Miller standards and beyond! View pics, it was done very well! This lounge is really in beautiful condition comprised of Brazilian Rosewood, aluminum base and soft, supple black leather cushions over foam. All foot glides are intact and the chair swivels just fine. The colors, grain and figure to the Rosewood shells are impressive!! The cushions, including arms, are all free of severe age. No rips, holes, stains or smells. The repairs are done under each arm and they are not easily noticed unless they are closely inspected. The chair sits tight, strong and sturdy. Again, overall condition is excellent but there are the repairs. The lounge measures 31"/33.5" and 32" tall. Freight shipping will be $119.00 and this is for assembled shipping.
