Eames Round-top coffee table This is the real thing! First produced in 1946 for Evans Products Co and later manufactured for Herman Miller, the round-top coffee table originally came with plywood legs or steel legs. This one has steel legs. It is walnut veneer and is in good shape except for some minor edge and surface damage due to normal wear and tear, which is documented in the photographs. All four original glides remain intact. Note the embossed foil red and black Herman Miller label with Charles Eames signature. A wonderful collector's item. This table is referenced on page 89 of the Ray Eames, John and Marilyn Neuhart book, Eames Design (see below). Seller was privileged to work in the Eames office from 1962-65, as documented on pgs 275-305 in Ray Eames and john and Marilyn Neuhart book Eames design, The Work of the Office of Charles and Ray Eames (Harry N. Abrams,Inc. 1989 ). The staff is documented at top of the pages along with on going projects at the time. During the years at the Eames office much was learned and much was collected! This table was collected after seller left the Eames Office staff. Seller is now downsizing and will be placing some beloved items for auction, including this one. Happy bidding. Buyer will be responsible for shipping an insurance. If buyer wishes, they may pick up in Little Rock AR
