Charles Lotton early Art Glass Feather pattern Cabinet size Vase This is a signed Charles Lotton vase that is dated for 1971. It is quite early for Charles and I believe most of his early pieces were signed with just his last name. This is bottle green glass with a dark blue lightly iridescent design. It has an unpolished pontil and the vase measures 3&1/4" tall, 4&1/2" wide. This is slightly crude, especially compared to his later works, but that is typical of his early vessels....it takes time to become great, but these early pieces will one day be important in the history of the contemporary glass movement. Condition is perfect with no damage or wear. It does have an early collection or inventory tag on the bottom. (all little white spots are light spots from the photography) Check out the photos!!!!
