Charles M. Russell "Pony Raid" Giants of the Wilderness Framed Poster of a Charles M. Russell Print. On the front bottom corner is printed: Financial Motivations 1974. In researching, I did see that a copy of this print was hanging in a bank in Kansas. I also found out that this is a copy of an oil, painted in 1896 by Charles Marion Russell. The locale is lower San River. The Blackfeet Indians, the Teuton of the Plains regarded horse-stealing, especially from the implacable foes, the Crows, as being a hororfic undertaking. Young braves were allowed to count coup on stolen horses. Also inlaid are Old Coins: One 1900 Indian Head Penny One 1904 Indian Head Penny One 1936 Indian Head Nickel Four Additional Indian Head Nickels with the Buffalo side showing (buffalo side is showing so do not know the dates) Frame has some wear.
