Up for auction is a RARE Hard to Find, Charlotte Di Vita Miniature Enameled Copper Teapot. It is a numbered edition, using the same techniques as those employed in the 1700's.It is one of the Famous Paintings Collection by Gustav Klint and it is titled " JUDITH 1". It is a semi nude oriental geisha. Beautifully Hand-painted enamel on copper. It stands 3.5" tall and 4.5" from spout to handle. It comes in a silk lined box with booklet about it's creation and a BRASS hangtag . It is a hand-numbered edition, properly backstamped.Reg Des No. 2077423, Pat.Reg.HK1027476,Edition No.H964. Beautiful Intricate painting. Each teapot is handmade, hand-painted , taking up to four days to complete and entailing more than 129 separate steps.No two pieces are identical. This Teapot is made from 19 individually cut , copper pieces which are then wired together, tempered and fired in a kiln, allowing the pieces to bond.Once the weld has hardened, the wires are removed and the item is cleaned before a white base enamel is applied. Back to the kiln for firing to solidify the enamel. At this point the design outline is applied to the enamel. Using fine hair miniature brushes,the craftsman then handpaint individual vitreous colors, one by one.Separate firings are used for every color in order to create enamel paintings.
