A lovely Burleigh Ware Charlotte Rhead vase. Wonderfull Tube Lined Art nouveau style decoration with orange lustre borders. Has the Burleigh mark that was used between 1926 to 1928. It does not have a pattern number but it's pattern number 4101. An example of the same design in a different colour can be seen on page 45 of collecting Rhead by B.Bumpus. It's a different shape on plate 37. This one looks a better shape and colour to me. According to the book it was one of the patterns designed early in 1927 shortly after Charlotte Rhead had joined to company. Backstamped as shown " Burleigh, Burgess & Leigh, Burslam, England." Also signed "Rhead" It's 18.7cm high. It's in wonderfull condition for it's age. Just a couple of tiny white spots which I've tried to show in picture 7 & 8 but they are very small. Little more than pinhead size and don't really detract at all. Any large white marks on the pictures are reflections in the lustre.The lustre is in great condition and the pattern is really bright.
