The Item: we present to you a guaranteed authentic Meissen Figurine of Pastoral Lovers , it dates to the 19 th century. It features a young boy in seemingly aristocratic clothes, perhaps a messenger because he is holding a flute, comfortably leaning against a tree branch while holding up his knee in mid motion and putting his arm around his lady friend, a shepherdess girl who is elevated on a slight platform. The boy has a stern dog standing to his left and the girl has two playful sheep or goats, one large one that she is petting and another baby one on her lap, making these two lovers one with nature, as their love is. As you can see, the scene is beautiful and the detail is incredible.
